Introduction:
Yale University is a private institution situated in New Haven, Connecticut. It was established in the year 1701. It was founded as the Collegiate School. It is the third oldest institution providing higher learning in U.S. Yale is a member of Ivy League. Yale is regarded as one of the best Universities in the world. There are a number of colleges and schools under the University. Yale has 3,300 faculty members who educate more than 12,000 students. Yale was founded in an initiative to create an institution which creates ministers. Yale University library is one of the largest in the United States. Prospective students need to apply directly to the school or college. Interested candidates will be provided financial aid and scholarship programs. International students are to submit their immigration details and TOEFL scores. Past academic records along with SAT/ACT scores and teacher recommendations are also needed. All admission procedure would be followed by an interview. An Alumni interviewer will contact the prospective students if he/she qualifies the first phase of the admission procedure at Yale.
Accommodation Facilities:
There are 12 residential colleges at Yale. Each student is assigned a room in the residential college when they enter their freshman year. Each residential college has its dinning hall. Students can eat at any of the Dining halls. The residential colleges are named after important figures. Students have to apply for the housing as and when they get admission at the Yale University.
