Introduction:
Grambling State University came into existence in the year of 1901, but this historically black Louisiana higher learning institution was accredited in 1949. Named after a sawmill owner Judson H. Grambling, Grambling State University is a public, co educational state university positioned in the city of Grambling, Louisiana. In 1974, the university has been given the university status. Grambling State University offers myriad of academic programs to its students in its five academic divisions. These are College of Education, College of Business, School of Graduate Studies & Research as well as College of Arts and Sciences and College of Professional Studies. Grambling State University is also known as GSU and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Only the qualified students get the chance to accomplish their higher learning dream here at Grambling State University. For freshmen students, it is required to submit high school GPA scores, SAT or ACT score or equivalent for admission. Students can apply online. Financial aid is also available for the eligible students.
Accommodation facilities:
Grambling State University offers campus housing facilities for most of its students. For freshmen students it is a must to live on campus. At GSU, the students enjoy active campus life. Multitude of activities is there for the students. The Tigers is the nickname of the university sport’s team.
