Introduction:
Fort Valley State University was established in the year 1895. It is a public institution located in the Fort Valley, Georgia. It is part of the University System of Georgia. It is a land grant university. The campus is the second largest area in the state. It is a member school of the Thurgood Marshal Scholarship Fund. FVSU assists the students to achieve their dreams. The faculty is committed and supportive, which is a great key to the student’s success. Fort Valley State University got its present name in the year 1996. Earlier it was Fort Valley State College. Admission Procedures:
Students applying for admission at FVSU must submit a completed application form along with an application fee of $20. Official high school transcripts are required to be sent along with the SAT/ACT scores. Application forms are available online. A completed certificate of Immunization form is also required. International students are to send a letter of recommendation, and TOEFL scores along with the form and other documents. An official bank statement or a financial statement should be submitted too by the International applicants.
Accommodation Facilities:
Housing is available at FVSU. Students who wish to stay on-campus will have to apply through the online forms. Living at an on-campus residence at FVSU is very convenient. There are separate residence halls for men and women. There is single and double occupancy facility. Students who prefer to stay at an off-campus location FVSU provides assistance by providing a few names for off-campus housing. Indian Oaks, Magnolia Terrace, Walker Enterprises, University Villa and Valley Pines are some of the off-campus housing options students are offered.
