Introduction:
Established in 1962, Edison State College, FL was earlier known as Edison Junior College, Edison Community College and Edison College. This public college is a part of the Florida Community Colleges System. The main campus or Lee County Campus is positioned in Fort Myers in Lee County. It also has branch campuses in Charlotte and Collier counties. This prestigious Florida higher learning institution was named in honor of inventor and industrialist Thomas Edison. An outreach program is also maintained by Edison State College in Hendry and Glades counties. Some 17,000 students are served by this public two year U.S College. Along with regular courses, the students at ESC are also provided with distance learning opportunities. Financial aid is offered to them who actually need this privilege.
